First things first, Bonjour and Bon Appetit ! Ladies and Gentlemen get your palates ready for a sweet trip to Paris, France !!

Lately I have been literally dreaming of going back to the lovely city of Paris, so I thought it was time to {retreat} back to my magical stay in the city of Love. When I say that my time in Paris was magical, I really mean it. This trip was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity, that I'm so excited to tell you about!
The Meal
As a member of the Divine 9, more specifically Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., you will often see us participate in an art known as stepping. Stepping is a way in which Sorority and Fraternity members remember and honor our ancestors through movement, and with that being said, step shows are a major deal in the Divine 9!. If you haven't been to one yet I strongly encourage you to do so, it's a lot of fun. But if you can't make it to a show do not fret, a quick YouTube search will showcase thousands of step shows for your viewing pleasure !
Believe it or not, YouTube was actually the beginning of my journey to Paris. It was here that my Chapter's (Shout out to the Oh So Fly Kappa Phi) championship, step show video of was discovered by a dynamic and talented mother/ daughter duo LeeAnet and Lauretta who have dedicated their life to fine arts. This duo just happened to be working with famous fashion designer, Rick Owens and hand picked us to be in his 2013 runway show. And that's exactly what happened. After a year of practice between Maryland and NYC my Line Sisters and I boarded a plane to an all expensive paid trip to Paris France !!
This runway show literally shocked the world. It was the first time ever that a designer incorporated dance into their runway show and broadcasted models of all shape, sizes, and shades. It was amazing to be a part of such history in Fashion!

Favorite Ingredients
1. Watching the Eiffel Tower light up at night. This was such a magical moment for me,as the Eiffel Tower twinkled in the middle of the night I couldn't help but to feel so blessed with the opportunities and life that God has granted me. He is Awesome!
2. Runway show ! Of course this was one of the coolest things I think I've done in my life. It was bizarre, but fun to have my own paparazzi for the day, and to be featured in an array of magazines, newspapers, etc. Sidenote: Rick Owens and his staff were absolutely amazing and accommodating !!!!
3. Meeting my friend, Michael! One of the coolest things about traveling is that you get to meet amazing people across the world, and Michael is one! We meet in Paris in 2013 and still communicate to this day ! It's so cool to have a friend in Paris. I know he will be reading this at some point so hello, and congrats on receiving your law degree! Hope to see you again soon :)
